CCFA Assessment (Comprehensive Child and Family Assessment)
The Comprehensive Child and Family Assessment (CCFA) is an in-depth evaluation designed to identify the strengths, needs, and challenges of children and families involved in the child welfare system. This assessment provides a holistic understanding of the child’s well-being, family dynamics, and environmental factors to develop a tailored plan that promotes stability, safety, and long-term success.
Key Components of the CCFA:
-
Psychosocial Evaluation – Examines the child’s emotional, behavioral, and social functioning.
-
Family Functioning Assessment – Evaluates the strengths and challenges within the family unit.
-
Educational & Developmental Review – Identifies academic progress, learning needs, and developmental milestones.
-
Medical & Mental Health Evaluation – Assesses physical and psychological health to ensure appropriate interventions.
-
Recommendations & Service Planning – Provides actionable steps for support, treatment, and family reunification when applicable.
At The Community Resource Counseling (CRCG), we conduct CCFA assessments with a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to ensure every child and family receives the care and resources needed for positive outcomes.
